Privacy Policy
This policy explains how DriveFino handles personal data for instructors, their students, and beta users of the service.
Who Operates The Service
DriveFino is the instructor management service available at drivefino.com. You can contact us about support, privacy, or data protection matters at support@drivefino.com.
Personal Data We Collect
We collect and process data needed to provide the instructor management platform:
- Instructor account details, business name, instructor name, email address, phone number, and ADI/licence number if provided.
- Student names, emails, phone numbers, emergency contact details, and licence number if provided.
- Lesson bookings, lesson locations, lesson notes, skills covered, homework or next goals, payment status, and lesson price.
- Email notification logs and technical logs such as IP address, browser or device information, audit logs, and security events.
Why We Use Data
- To create and manage instructor accounts.
- To help instructors manage student records, lessons, availability, notes, and notifications.
- To provide beta support, troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and secure the service.
- To maintain records needed for billing, dispute handling, audit, security, and legal obligations.
Legal Basis For Processing
Depending on the context, we process personal data because it is necessary to provide the service, because we have a legitimate interest in operating and securing the platform, because we need to meet legal obligations, or because consent has been obtained where required.
Instructor Data And Student Data
Instructors are generally the controller for student data they enter and manage in DriveFino. Where applicable, DriveFino acts as a processor for instructor-managed student data and processes that data on the instructor's documented instructions.
Students, parents, or guardians who want to access, correct, or delete student records may need to contact the relevant instructor, because the instructor controls those records. We will help with verified requests where reasonably possible.
Storage, Security, And Sharing
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, tenant isolation, encrypted transport, audit logging, and restricted operational access. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.
We may share data with service providers that help us operate DriveFino, including:
- Infrastructure providers for application hosting, database hosting, storage, backups, and security.
- Email providers for account emails, verification emails, support replies, and lesson notifications.
- Support, monitoring, and error-reporting tools used to diagnose and resolve service issues.
- Payment or billing providers if paid subscriptions are added or enabled in future.
Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, support beta users, meet legal or security obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records. Instructors can request account deletion. Student data deletion may need to be verified with, or handled by, the relevant instructor.
Your Rights And Requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. You can make a request by emailing support@drivefino.com or by visiting the Data Deletion Request page.
You may also complain to your relevant data protection authority, such as the Irish Data Protection Commission, the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or the authority in your country or region.
Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service develops. The current version was last updated on July 6, 2026.
